Throughout the history of the club we have raised and donated in the region of £50,000 to mainly local causes. One of witch was in 1998-99, in conjunction with The Shipley Tigers, White Rose MCC funded the training of a Guide Dog for the Blind who we named Shipley.
In 1999-2001 we supported the Naomi Donner Insulin Pump Fund. Naomi is a local girl who has severe diabetes and her quality of life is highly improved using a special Insulin pump, for which she has to bear the cost. Running costs for the pump add up to the total of £800 per year.
The White Rose MCC raisd enough to give her one years funding, plus we continued to support Naomi.
Through the Easter Bunny and Christmas Toy Run we continually support the local branch of Gingerbred, an organisation for single parent families. Although an active motorcycle club, fundraising for these and other charities is an active part of our membership. if you would like to help then please come to our meetings or contact one of our members as shown on the list of contacts, or visit our forums.
The chosen charity for 2004 was the YORKSHIRE AIR AMBULANCE SERVICE, we presented them with a cheque for over £600, further presentations was made throughout the following year.
